Located in the heart of Soho in London, The House of St Barnabas has helped Londoners affected by homelessness since 1862. In 2013, the historic and charitable establishment became a private socail club with two programs : an artistic space with contemporary art exhibitions available for sale and an Employment Academy offering practical courses to homeless people in order to help them to reintegrate the working life.
Fifteen works of contemporary art from the private collection of The House of St Barnabas will be auctioned at Lyon & Turnbull on Wednesday 27 March in London. The proceeds will be used to fund the "Employment Academy" program, which helps those affected by homelessness.
