Born in 1970 in Charleston, South Carolina, Frank Shepard Fairey is one of the most famous street artists in the world. He became largely popularized during the 2008 U.S. presidential election thanks to his Barack Obama “Hope” poster. Before that, he had already made his mark with his viral campaign stickers "Andre The Giant has a Posse", which later inspired the logo of his Obey Clothing brand.
For its new We The Future campaign, Amplifier is inviting US students to think about the future of their country. The Seattle organization has engaged four artists to create eye-catching posters of ten young activists working to make the world a better place.
