Born in the early 80's, Don Mateo grew up submerged in hip hop culture and quickly found his passion in graffiti. After attending the School of Fine Arts, in Besançon then Spain, the artist moved to Lyon in 2010 and took to the streets his famous portraits.
Regularly committed to support actions to support youth and child welfare, Lyon-based artist Don Mateo is now supporting LCPGLV for their final fundraising, aimed at improving the daily life of suffering children at the Institute of Hematology and Pediatric Oncology (Léon Bérard Center - Lyon)
In support of the Fondation Hospices Civils de Lyon, many French artists are getting together to inspire anyone confined and to invite them to thank and support the hospital staff by donating today.
Regularly committed to supporting causes related to education, French street artist Don Mateo wanted to offer his art to support Entrepreneurs du Monde's FANSOTO program. This new fundraising, through our platform, will fund a year of support for 400 women micro-entrepreneurs in the development of their income-generating business in Senegal.
In 2017, Don Mateo painted a now-iconic image to support the actions of the collective No Children Without a Roof. Discover his portrait and take a peak behind the scenes of this creation.
