After a first tribute mural painted in 2011 in Paris' square of Deux-Nèthes (18th arrondissement), JonOne renews its attachment to the Abbé Pierre Foundation in a new collaboration, this time with the support of the "E Leclerc Movement". In parallel with the collapse of several buildings in Marseille, recent news has once again reminded us that combating unworthy housing remains a priority in France in 2018.

This struggle is one of the missions that Fondation Abbé Pierre has been carrying out since 1987, particularly to allow all disadvantaged people to access both a decent housing and a dignified life. The Foundation, which finances nearly 900 projects a year in France and abroad, has been collaborating for several years with American graffiti artist and painter with awareness campaigns on poor housing.

Long-time support

Born John Andrew Perello in 1963 in New York - but settled in Paris since the end of the 80s, JonOne has been working for many years to make the artistic offer more important and more accessible to the public, the citizen, the consumer ... An appeal to question the status quo, that one may find again in this operation, launched on June 26th. Launched with an artistic performance of the artist in the Paris metro station Saint Augustin; the painting realized on this occasion was exposed during 3 days, later to be acquired by Michel Edouard Leclerc in favor of the Abbé Pierre Foundation.

The collaboration is now extended by a partnership: for 2 years, the E. Leclerc group will offer its customers 6 reusable cash bags showcasing printed works of JonOne, available for sale in its stores. The full reproduction rights of the artist will then be handed over to the Abbé Pierre Foundation in the form of a donation by the E. Leclerc Centers, up to 50,000 euros.

Through this operation, the E. Leclerc Group achieves a triple goal: the implementation of a philanthropic action benefiting the Abbé Pierre Foundation, a concrete support for urban art as well as the pursuit of its commitment in favor of sustainable development. They also offer a good opportunity for their customers to purchase - at lower cost - a reproduction of JonOne.
